After the launch of Amaszonas’ flight, there is potential for more Bolivian tourists to visit Destination Iguassu
According to data from the Brazilian Agency for International Promotion of Tourism (Embratur), 80% of airline tickets in Bolivia are sold by travel agencies. With that in mind, and now with the start of operations of Amaszonas airline, Visit Iguassu accompanied a Famtour with 10 Bolivian tourism operators. The group got to know the attractions and infrastructure of Destination Iguassu.
The Amaszonas flight will start operating from December 15th and will have take place three times a week: from Santa Cruz de la Sierra to Foz do Iguaçu on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Departure from Foz on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The flow of Bolivian tourists, as well as of tourists of other nationalities, is expected to increase.
According to data from the Iguaçu National Park, in 2019 there was an increase in the number of Bolivian visitors: 5,430 people, increase of 21% compared to the 4,467 visitors in 2018.
